Linux operating system have become more popular with the introduction of GUI versions like Ubuntu and Mint that operate similarly to Windows and Macintosh. Linux operating system is generally more secure than others. The most popular versions of Linux for the average user is Ubuntu and Mint.
Many programs that run on Windows are also available in Linux. The following programs are available in both Windows and Linux versions:
